Situated at Bel Ombre, in the southwest of Mauritius, Tamassa is a spacious 4-star hotel that sets out to provide a contemporary setting for a young clientele that likes to be different. All the rooms, housed in a set of villas, face the sea. They are arranged in three arcs, two around large swimming pools with a beach and the third on the seafront.
All the common areas, on the other hand, are grouped together in village style, with a view of the sea to one side and on the other sugarcane fields running all the way to the foothills of the mountains. It’s all quite magical - a fabulous shoreline, lush greenery, rare tree specimens, flowering shrubs and plants, and turquoise waters.

New in the South a Night Club
Tamassa is the first hotel in the south to have its own nightclub, Jalsa, and there is plenty of activity planned for night-time revellers. What makes Tamassa different is its individual atmosphere. It is the first time that a hotel in Mauritius has been conceived for younger people, with a youthful style of architecture and décor. Jalsa explodes with joy, featuring the latest geometric design styles, with black leather seating, stainless steel circles and enormous red cushions, as well as large mirrors all around. And do make sure you taste the special Tamassa cocktail - whether in the nightclub or elsewhere, Tamassa IS Party Time! |
Kids Club
A circular building houses the Kids Club, which is next to the tennis courts. It has a large amphitheatre-shaped
with:
• Space for shows
• 1 Dining room on the terrace
• 2 internet-access screens
• 1 sand pit
• 1 rest room.
The Club is for children between 3 and 12.
The kids are looked after by qualified staffs who organize activities from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. A baby
sitting service is available on request (with supplement).
Teens Club
The Teens club, for older youngsters, has games machines, a billiard table and table football.
We welcome you to visit Tamassa’s Boutique, situated near the mail pool. Opened between 8.30 a.m. 20.00 p.m, offering you a selection of exclusive creations, including local handicrafts and garments. Our personal boutique collection with a design label.
The air-conditioned conference room can hold 80 people seated cinema-style. Standard audio-visual material is available free-of-charge to hotel guests and includes a 35mm slide projector, an overhead projector, a video and cassette system, a DVD player, microphone, a flip chart, a video projector, a lectern and a wall-mounted screen. Other equipment can be obtained on request (with supplement).
